What is on display here is the history of the former psychiatric clinic called the Karl-Bonhoeffer-Nervenklinik from its foundation in 1880 to the early post-war period.

The exhibition focuses on the medical crimes of the Nazi era. The results of the research on forced sterilisations, the role of the clinic as part of the "euthanasia" campaign called “Aktion T4”, and the killings of disabled children in Wiesengrund, the special children’s ward, are also documented. In addition, light is shed on the fate of Jewish and foreign patients.

The exhibition also addresses the question of the extent to which Nazi crimes against mentally ill people were suppressed.
